I received a book Friday that had been chewed by an animal, cat or dog. The cover was covered with teeth marks, little pieces of the cover and some pages were missing and the book had a strong odor. It kind of smelt like cat urine. It also had little tuffs of white fur stuck to the book in places. I marked it received with a problem, PMed the sender stating the problem and asked for a credit return, but have yet to hear back. My questions are: has anyone else experienced this? How could someone who is wrapping a book to mail miss all this damage? If I never get a reply will I get my credit back? Thank for letting me rant! |

You won't get your credit back if they don't give it. The powers to be here don't get involved with disputed trades. However - if they ignore your PM's you should contact the site owners. They are NOT happy when people don't respond. If you browse the help center you'll find the exact wording for this type of swap. |

I received a book with teeth marks from either a cat or small dog on the back cover. The sender told me she didn't have any pets and didn't know how that could have happened but she did return my credit. I have cats and unfortunately have had books that they chewed on and those went out as unpostables. Now I can't promise that you won't find a hair or two, especially stuck in the tape on the wrapper! |

Luckly mine are too bored or too old to care about the books, though they are facinated by the packing tape and that will contain cat hairs. I agree with Cozi, but I want to add to give the sender some time -not everyone is on everyday - maybe once a week, but if they don't respond in 5-7days - I would contact the team. |
