Wondering if I could get some help determing how I should mark a book I received today. I ordered a book that was supposed to have a CD included (states on the front cover that the CD is included) however the CD was not in the book when I got it.  According to the help documents the CD needs to be included in order to be postable. Should I PM the sender prior to marking the book received and ask about the CD or should I mark it received with a problem and then send a PM. If I do mark it received with a problem which option should I select. The book isn't damaged nor is it the wrong book. The didn't meet requestor conditions doesn't apply either.

Send the member a PM first - although if you've started the survey already you might not have the option since you  only get one stab at it.  If you haven't started the survey - then PM the member.  If you have then mark it RWAP and hope they will fix it for you afterwards.

The help center states that the media (CD) should be with the book. Under what can be posted page:

Books with accompanying media Materials: Yes IF the accompanying materials are included

• A book with accompanying audiocassettes (for example) will earn 1 credit.
• A book with accompanying cassettes or CDs is not an "audiobook".  An audiobook is a book read aloud by a narrator.
• If the listing for the book indicates that the book comes with accompanying media materials (CD, VHS, cassette, DVD), all materials must be posted with the book.  If you do not have the accompanying materials, the book cannot be posted alone.
• The accompanying media materials (without the book) also cannot be posted alone.

I would mark it RWAP, ask for the credit back and cite the information given by Emily above. Without the CD, the book was not postable.
