Hi, If I were to mark a book received but with a problem, what happens exactly? Does the sender see the remark or does paperbackswap send them a note? Is this when you would get a credit back? Thanks, Carol |

Hi Carol, Unfortunately the credit is not returned unless you ask the other member for it and they agree to send it. The Help Center Doc "There is a problem with a book I received! has some great information about this topic and probably can answer all of your questions way better than I can. Cheryl |

After you click that the book was received with a problem, you will have the opportunity to describe the problem to R&R as well as send a PM to the other member. The other member will see the PM you send to them but not the information given to R&R. You should ask for your credit to be returned in the PM to the other member if you would like it returned. |

Yes the sender does see that it is received with a problem but unless you PM them with the specifics they don't see it. You can chooose to refund the credit or not that is up to you. |

I posted before about my first book rec'd with a problem. By time I resorted to marking it REC'D WITH A PROBLEM , I had already been emailing with the member but unfortunately even with the helpful suggestions here, she couldn't figure out how to return a credit. So I went marked it "rec'd with a problem" , added the member sent a note saying she knew it was water damaged and moldy, let her know if I want my credit back, but as you all know (and I didn't until now) it only says contact other member, but now that she has her credit, she broke off contact and didn't reply anymore...... I actually have been very lucky apparently not running into any snags like this in the past 3 yrs. This site doesn't allow you choose who you get your books from which was never a problem before this. There is something for the suggestion box! :)
