Hi, I'm new here and received my first book, but it isn't the right one. I asked for "Blood Music" by Greg Bear and got "Blood Rules" by someone completely different. I don't think it's fair I have to spend a credit on a book I didn't ask for. I have not marked the book as received.
What should I do?

Look in the Help Center "There is a problem with a book I received!" It has the procedures for handling this issue. |

Click on "Help Center" and in the Help Docs search window, type in "problem with book." You'll find the Help Doc Jane mentioned, and it describes what to do. I was going to copy the document and paste it here, but it is really much easier to read there, because of the formatting. The person may have just grabbed the wrong book off her shelf, so be gentle when you contact her. :-) There are several ways to resolve the issue. |

Welcome, Chuck! Sorry you got the wrong book. Before you mark that it was received with a problem, check to make sure it isn't a book you'd like to read. This situation happened to me, and luckily the book was one I thought I'd like, so I marked it received. I was able to get the other book, too, so it all worked out in the end. Good luck! Since the titles of the two books in your case are so close, I'd bet that the sender has them alphabetized and just grabbed the wrong one when mailing it out. Carol Ann |

Thanks all. I contacted sender and he said it was an "oops" and he will send the real book outside the PBS system (I guess he cannot print another label for it via PBS). I'll mark it as Received when I get the real book.

I'm glad to hear he's doing the right thing. That's the way I would have handled it. |
