I had a great run of wonderful books, I had not recieved a RWAP book for over four months...until this last week.  First, I got a book which had a cracked spine and torn cover...I didn't mark it, but sent the sender a note about the poor packaging (this book went to my mother in a rural area and I'm pretty sure that the damage was USPS caused...).  Next, I got a book which looks like the bottom front cover has been delicately dipped in water.  About 50 pages are wavy and the cover is stained.  I asked for my credit back and got it, as I will probably re-order the book when it comes available.

Then yesterday, I got a book which makes them both look quite nice.  This book is the third of a series and has been dropped in a mud puddle.  I can see the splashes.  It is just along the bottom edge and cover, but I would never mail out a book in such poor condition (I tend to throw muddy books in the trash).  About 100 pages are stained at the bottom.

I just wanted to know if anyone else has been getting several unpostables lately.  It's ironic that on this last one, it was falling out of it's white paper packaging...I'm sorry, but you don't send a book which weighs more than a pound in white paper alone...  I almost wish it had gone ahead and fallen out, then I wouldn't have to mark another book RWAP.  I'll let you know how this resolves itself.

Update:  The sender refunded my credit and I put the book back on my wish list.  It was all very congenial, I wish all problem transactions could be handled so smoothly.

They seem to come in waves. But overall I get many more good books than bad books.  But the bad books seem to come 2 or 3 at a time.
