I could barely tolerate this one. Read 30 to 40 pages, then skimmed to see if anything interesting happened. Very little emotional content or character development. Actually, very little apparent romance.

2005 copyright romance about a woman who saves a man from drowning. Pretty fast paced story with a gothic twist.

I really enjoyed this adventure/romance. From London's social whirl to Egypt's tombs & pyramids, Hunter McDonald & Kat Adair flirt, fall in love, find treasure, and fight the bad guys. A word of caution, the summary blurb on the back of the paperback edition is wildly misleading and not completely accurate.

Historical romance with accent on romance. The daughter of a struggling artist in 1890s London finds herself propelled into High Society after she rescues a member of the posh set from drowning. Disillusionlment follows, then a heated romance with a Rhett-Butler-like figure, an archaeological trip to Egypt… and then things get kind of unlikely.

I had a hard time getting started with this book, but after about 1/3 of the way, I had a hard time putting it down. I knew someone in the book was up to no good, but I was completely surprised by the ending!

A nice mystery and romance. Set around 1895 in England and Egypt.
