I have one son dating and another getting married. I have previously encouraged them to Christian related relationship books and was wondering what recommendations others might have (maybe I've missed some good ones)--and they don't have to be Christian if they are worthwhile :-)

Fran, if you can find a copy of it, Marital Blitz by the Berenstains (same people who write The Berenstain Bears books) is a hilarious cartoon book about the quirky institution of marriage. And I am not being flip in recommending it, because sometimes humor is the thing that defuses a problem situation.

One of my pre-marital counselling books was Each for the Other by Bryan Chapell, the president of Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis. I thought it was fantastic book with lots of great insight.
