NEVERMIND...I found out I was in the wrong forum -thank you for looking, though!
I read mostly historical fiction and Great Britain history. It's been a real learning experience to read what horrors the women had to go through back-in-the day to get a divorce! Her husband could just have her commited if she made noises for a divorce~
So I'm really curious if there are any good books out there - historical fiction or otherwise, that tells more of what the early American women went through once they arrived and grew up in America - did they follow English laws? Was it any easier?
I'd be grateful for any suggestions - to me it is amazing what women have endured over so many years. Thanks!
