Hi,  I am in need of some suggestions for some books for my foster sons girlfriend.  She likes Sherrilyn Kenyon but has read them all.  Since it is so close to Christmas I need to be able to find any recommended books at Barnes and Nobles or Borders.

Thanks in advance.

depending on how steamy she likes things, she might like Shelly Laurenston.  Her stories are very funny, with quirky (almost neurotic) heroines that can kick some serious bootie when needed.  I also like Kenyon, and Laurenston is one of my faves.  She has a couple of series out, the Pride series and the Magnus Pack (both centering around shifters)  Laurenston also writes as G.A Aiken for a dragon shifter series.

You should be able to find several books of hers at Borders (we don't have a BN bookstore here so don't know about that one)

Shelley Laurenston/ GA Aiken is a good choice.

Kresley Cole would be another great choice.  Her Immortals After Dark series is great, and has the kind of series story arc, individual romance set up that the Dark Hunter books have.  Plus they are gre great.  A Hunger Like No Other is the first novel in the series.

I'd also highly reccomend Nalini Singh, either her Psy-Changeling or her Guild Hunter books, though the psy-Changeling books are more Romance.  The first Psy-Changeling book is Slave to Sensation.

Another good bet might be Illona Andrews.  Her Edge Series starting with "On the Edge" is more Romance focused.

Patricia Briggs might be another way to go.  Her Mercy Thompson books and her Alpha and Omega books are on my keeper shelf.  They do slant less toward romance.

Terrific!  I am hoping to introduce her to PBS, I showed her the site at Thanksgiving but she works retail and has been way to busy to join.  Thanks again everyone for the recommendations.

I also love Sherrilyn Kenyon... Also love Christine Feehan ... Christine has a ton of books in a couple series. Think her Carphatian Vamp series is on around book 15 or so.

Sunny write erotic.. which I don't usually go for but I will read her's because I like the characters. Her vamps survive on Moonlight.

Kresley Cole, Katie MacAllister, MaryJanice Davidson (Undead series). I'm trying to remember who is the author of the books where the vamps get their strength from having sex..

Angie Fox is funny and have geriatric motorcycle biker witches, a griffin and the female lead is a demon slayer.

Molly Harper only has 3 vamp books (Dead Girls Don't...), a regular novel and  a new series heading out. She's good.

Chloe Neill I think had 3 or 4 books out.. Chicagoland Vamps (when you're turned you get a welcome basket).

But the last three are more comedy than steamy sex scenes.

Actually want well written sexy books... Laura Stamps. Her Witchery series is great and has real spells in it. I didn't read #1, #2 has no sex in it until the very end and #3 has steamy sex throughout it... but it's so well written that it fits in the book and not sex scene for the sake of having a sex scene.

Richelle Mead's Vampire Academy is a real good series, it's Young Adult, but I'm 47 and haven't missed one since they first came out and think the last book in the original series is coming out right now... think it's book #6.
