i think I have found a new author! I liked the realism in the book and the 'take off' on the Black Dahlia. If you are a reader of detective novels in general or women detectives specifically, you will not be disappointed. I will be looking for other books by Lynda LaPlante. Definitely 5 out of 5 stars!

A unique and powerful mystery/thriller, this gets into the nitty gritty of police work as two detectives try to solve a brutal murder before the murderer strikes again. It is set in England and has many strange characters, mainly the main suspects wealth family members. The book is unique in that they have their main suspect early, they just have to find a way to prove he did it. Still, this held my interest well and kept me reading.
