Claire visits a friend, a pastor, and they fall in love.
I picked up another Cynthia Rutledge romance, knowing that my mind might not be challenged but my spirit would be refreshed. Claire's behavior was outrageous and hilarious; her relationship with Tony was idyllic. This book was just what I needed. Sequel to The Marrying Kind.
Great story how a mistake lands a single pastor a new job and a fake fiancee!! A must read!
Reverend Tony Karelli knew the Lord worked in mysterious ways, but this was rediculous. Before he could correct his new congregation's mistake assumption that he was engaged,an irrepressible old flame popped up,offering to pose as his fiancee. And Claire Water's impromptu bargain wasn't the only thing Tony couldn't resist...
I really liked this book!
From cover:
Reverend Tony Karelli knew the Lord worked in mysterious ways, but this was ridiculous. Before he could correct his new congregation's mistaken assumption that he was engaged, an irrespessible old flame popped up, offering to pose as his finacee. And Claire Waters's impromptu bargain wasn't the only thing Tony couldn't resist...
The last thing freewheeling Claire expected was to fall for a steadfast man of the cloth. Somehow, the whole town believed they were headed for the altar - and it was becoming all too easy to carry out the charade. Claire's long-term plans didn't include marriage to a minister - but a Higher Power just might have other ideas...
