Telephones, wristwatches, and electricity are all dead in this TV landscape gone evil. When the main group of characters trapped in a house try to flee into the neighborhood, they find themselves inside a childs drawing of sorts.
The lanscape comes from an autistic childs mind who has been invaded by the demonic being known as "TAK". His TV shows and drawings suddenly come to life and put the others on this street at a big disadvantage.
Poplar street will never be the same, can the residents escape these cartoon/toys run amok? Time will tell.
I personally found this to be a real page turner and a great "twin" to it's "twin"...the other King/Bachman book known as "Desperation". Whether a King fan or not, this books imagination will take yours places you never thought to go!« less
