I actually really liked this book. In some ways, it was similar to _I, Lucifer_, and in other ways it had elements of Anne Bishop's Black Jewels series' characters (although this was published first, so I suppose it really ought to go the other way around). Either way, this novel of the story of Satan and all the rest is quite fascinating. I really enjoyed reading it. More than I thought I would. The clear cut lines between Yahweh and Satan - how both perspectives were right and then make Satan into the hero was quite well done.

Thoughtful, interesting and creative. Another theory on good vs. evil, and how close they really are.

Brust brings his gift for loopy humor to the tale of how Lucifer the angel became master of Hell. Told almost completely in dialogue, fast-moving and fun.

I read this years ago as part of a book club. Some of the members were big Steven Brust fans. I'm not. If you like Brust, you'll probably like this book.

This is a really good book. I essentially sat down and didn't get up again, reading _To Reign in Hell_.

I can see why Roger Zelazny got pulled in too. :D

I must point out that this link is to the original limited edition hardcover, which is REALLY hard to find...
