I did not enjoy this book nearly as much as the first book in the series: The Redemption. This book really dragged for me and I got frustrated as the conflict continued and continued. It was just not an enjoyable read, with too many conflicts, difficulties, challenges, etc. Not what I expected from a pirate romance.

Okay this book bugged me even more than the first. Here she is preaching God's love to several people, but yet she is constantly questioning him and it makes me think she doesn't really trust Him at all. (Charlisse) I couldn't even finish it. I do like Marylu's other books just not these pirate ones. I have also met her and she was really nice. I just couldn't get past that fact I stated above.
