Davies' writing style is pleasant and this is an easy read.

Written in the 1960's, the book fits the mold of the Golden Age mystery, and is worth reading for people who enjoy cozies and tales with a touch of the supernatural. It has a nice twist at the end that sort of explains a lot of things I was puzzled about when I decided who was behind the dastardly goings-on.
