The male Characters name is Jason Harmon, he's a rancher but retired from something, I think actor, and she's a writer names Liz ( I think) intent on doing a story on him. He has two children and tells her she has to go camping with them in the mountains if she wants an inteview,  at some point things heat up after she nearly dies trying to save one of the children,

It's a smaller paperback, and for the life of me I cannot remember the name of it. It was really a good story and I would like to read it again (yes, I am a rereader lol)

A Little Inconvenience by Judy Christenberry, Kismet 5:

It was not the type of story Elizabeth Broadhurst usually covered, but when the call came from her editor, she couldn't say no.  Wealthy entrepreneur Jason Harmon had been secretive and camera shy for ten years.  Now that he had agreed to grant an exclusive interview with STAR magazine, Liz couldn't let her boss down.

But the brash, demanding man who met her at Denver's airport took Liz by surprise.  She'd interviewed reluctant subjects before, but Jason Harmon was different.  He hated reporters.  If Liz wanted to get her story, she would have to follow this man on a grueling trek through Colorado's Rocky Mountains.

Despite the war between them, Liz witnessed moments when Jason's guard weakened, when he cared for his children, when his brilliant since of humor cam shining through.  And she couldn't deny the heated moments when he held her close, his lips grazing hers, his eyes dark with passion.  Liz could endure a little inconvenience to get her story on Jason Harmon.  She didn't mind the blazing sun or the hours of hiking.  But she could never bear to fall in love with this man.  War or truce, Liz Broadhurst was determined to leave this assignment with her heart intact!
