I can't remember how to post a book directly to someone. Can I do it even if the book is not on their wishlist or it isn't a wishlisted book? I'm totally drawing a blank here!

If the book is on your bookshelf, go to your bookshelf, you can go to your bookshelf, and there should be a 'mail to a friend' button for each book.

But you have to know their address.

No you cannot post a wish list book directly to them and get credit if the book is not on their wish list, they would need to it add and then you would go to their wish list and use the post button to the right on the book, don't use any other post button (going into the details page or the yellow popup), you need to use the button that is on their wish list page.

If the book is not wish listed, then you would put it on your Bookshelf and they would go there and order it directly from you. Same rules apply about staying on that page and not clicking into anything or they will order from FIFO.

Neither one of you can be on vacation hold for this to work.

The Mail to a Friend option will not work to order from someone. That is a creditless transaction to just track a book and use the system features like printing a label and postage. If you used that method and wanted it to be a credit transaction you'd have to buddy the credit and it wouldn't be tied to the transaction and you wouldn't have the protection of the system if something went lost or wrong.

Thanks for the responses. I could not for the life of me remember about the post to a friend button if the book wasn't wishlisted! I got it all worked out with the other person so it's all good :)
