I'm trying to remember the author and/or series for these if someone could help me please?! series with main sleuth a female minister and 'interest' is a married sheriff or police chief or someone in law enforcement. read a couple and think his wife ends up kaput (convenient!) I think her name is Claire or Clara? the other I think is set in Alaska and seems the female sleuth was an attorney or DA who left CA because of some kind of trauma - didnt' finish the first book - was paperback and small print so I'm hoping I can find both these series in ebook format but can't remember the authors. |

Julia Spencer-Fleming...MC (female) is an Episcopal priest who works with the local chief of police (or sheriff, can't remember which he is) to solve murders. His wife is murdered in one of the books in the series. Priest's name is Claire. The other series you asked about sounds sort of familiar, but can't remember it. Have you tried going on SYKM, getting into their "location index" and checking the list of books set in Alaska? Might work!! |

Haven't read Dana Stabenow, so no wonder it didn't click! I have the first one downloaded to my computer, but haven't read it yet. |

"Through the Evil Days," the eighth book in the Clare Fergusson/Russ Van Alstyne series by Julia Spencer Fleming, will be released Nov. 5. It's been two years since "One Was a Soldier" hit the market, and I am really looking forward to picking up this series again. |
