  The darkness claims me
Which is a good thing
I close my eyes
And remember everything

You beat me and beat me
You tore me to shreds
There was so much blood
To the point I thought I was dead

The numbness creeps in
I feel like I’m out of my body
I look down and see
Where I’m laying on the cold hard floor

Blood mats my hair
I have cuts all over
Bruises anywhere you look
Why couldn’t I just die?

The pain comes in waves
It grips me tightly and doesn’t let go
I start to feel like I’m going to be sick
Why in the hell did you have to hurt me like that?

What did I do for you to hate me so much?
Was it worth it you losing me like you did?
Did you enjoy breaking my body?
Did you enjoy making me bleed?

Did you enjoy seeing the life go out of me?
Did you enjoy seeing me broke and bleeding?
Why couldn’t you have made sure I was dead?
Why did you have to let me live and remember this?

The pain got worse as time went by
I remembered the next time I woke up
I could barely talk and move
You enjoyed what you did to me

The darkness claims me
Which is a good thing
I close my eyes
And remember everything
