No need.  As I mentioned, it's certainly possible you'd find out who sent a book. No worries.  And a personal thank you is fine, but not expected.  I don't mean to fuss over it.  It's been a long time, but I remember a couple instances when the giver felt innundated with "Where's my book?!"  Thanks for the question!
