I submitted a data edit for

Mrs. Jeffries Speaks Her Mind, (it originally had Mrs. Jeffries Speak Her Mind), so wasn't showing up as an alternative version of the book.

There are 12 wishers for the other hardback version. Mine is the only copy of this version.

Since I posted my book before the data edit was complete my book,the message would not have been sent that there is an altenate copy available of this book.

Should I delete and repost so it will send the message to anyone that wants to be notified of alternate versions?

I think the alternate versions are linked to data from another site, it's not just a matter of the title matching. You should contact TPTB directly to get them linked. 

You're right Becca. I deleted my copy and posted the wish listed copy to my wish list. It said there were no other versions to wish list.

So the book edit team can't do this? I need to use the contact us link.  I hate to bother them with anything I could do any other way.

You could just try taggin the WL version with "1 posted under ISBN xxx".  Although when this has happened to me, I find that it's requested pretty quickly just from being on the books recently posted list.
