So I posted a number of books. One was a language book that I had long forgotten about, and also have no recollection that it had an audio CD with it (definitely not with it now.) When the request came, I noticed belatedly reference in the top right corner of the cover to the audio CD. I cancelled the order with that explanation, and that I would be glad to send it if still desired. I feel badly I didn't note it earlier and didn't want to compound the mistake by sending the book out sans CD. Will the person get that message with the reason, or will they just think some anonymous person out there is a doofus? |

No worries, the person will get to see your explanation! If I recall correctly, though, it's sort of contained in the middle of the email that is sent - so the person would have to read the whole thing carefully to see it. If they just read the beginning and see that it has been cancelled, they may not read further. I believe that the transaction should be in your archives, though...if you wanted to send a follow-up PM, you could do that. |

When I refuse a condition, I always try to explain exactly why. I also include my name and tell them that they can PM me if they are still interested in the book. But no one has. :) |

Lisa is correct - I just got a cancellation email yesterday, and the reason for the cancellation is about 2/3 of the way down the message from PBS, so if someone just sees it and deletes it, they won't know the reason. You really have to read the entire email. |

Thank you for your help - I had not realized that I could PM someone from the transaction archive if the transaction hadn't happened. I'll send her a message in case she didn't burrow through the email to find the reason. Appreciate all the help :). |
