Hi I have a question for you all...I had a book on my WL and have requested it on the 4th.  I still have not heard from the posted that they can mail.  How long should I wait?  Will I lose my place in line by waiting?

Keep waiting! The sender has 5 days to accept your request and then they have up to 7 days to mail. If they don't follow through, you get your place back on the wish list. If you cancel, then you lose your place.

Not everyone comes on to PBS everyday.  Also they might be waiting to hit accept to allow a little more time to mail out the book because of time contraints or waiting for payday.  Since WL books can go through several requestors sometimes before being accepted-they probably jus decided to post the book.  Or they didn't realize it was a WL book and just haven't made it back on to hit accept.

I actually just delayed answering a request for a book for a few days to give myself some extra time to finish reading the book!  It's the fifth in a series and I knew there were at least a couple of hundred of books 3 and 4 posted and assumed (you know what they say about assuming) that #5 also had tons of copies posted.  I decided to go ahead and post it along with #3 and #4 just to get it going on the FIFO line not realizing that there were only a couple of other copies posted.  It got requested almost immediately.  I'm still reading it!  <grin>  I'm almost done and I said I'd mail it by Saturday.  Shouldn't be a problem.  But, maybe something similar happened to the person who just posted your wish list book, not realizing there was a wish list for it.  Or, like Mary said, they may have assumed it would go through several people on the wish list before being accepted.
