i did not agree with the condition the requestor said the book was in but gave back a credit and she kept the book. she did not have any RC. we communicated by PM but she has not marked the book as "resolved". will this give me a bad mark on my account? do other PBS members see this? how do i fix this? where do i go to see my "status"? thanks!

PBS works on a FIFO basis so no other requestors will see it.  It won't count against you unless you habitually have people RWP your books.  If you didn't send a PM when you refunded the credit and asked her to mark it resolved then I would ask nicely now.  PBS suggests giving people a week to respond to PMs.

What reason did they give for marking a book RWP? If the book met the guidelines and they had no RCS for anything above and beyond the guidelines, then there was no need to give the credit back.  If you were polite in your responses it would not have counted against you-unless you admitted some sort of wrong doing.

i did kindly ask them to mark it resolved. i checked and they have no books posted. interesting. they had no RC and the book was in good condition, they said it was "dirty". i disagree. anyway, ill give them five days, then what? thanks!

If they never mark it Resolved, then there is nothing more for you to do.

It won't count against you unless you get "alot" of RWAPs, and even then, the people reviewing your account will be able to tell that you refunded the credit for this transaction, which is a full resolution.

There is no need to worry about it, even if it does not get marked Resolved.

Lots of people do not even know how to mark a problem Resolved, or even that they should do so.

You would go to the Transaction Archive to see when / if this gets marked Resolved.

I'm sure you know this, but people who mark a book RWAP don't need to return the book at their own expense, you could ask for the book back from them, but you would have to pay them for the postage to mail it back, either by giving them a second credit, or mailing them postage money (or something like that).

It's not that big of a deal to get a RWAP. I've got two myself, and I never give it a second thought.
