So, I just posted Atonement a day or two ago, and have apparently found some weird glitch. The first requestor had a special request - of no yellowed pages. I denied the request because the pages seem to be slightly yellowed. So the next requestor also had a special request - that it had never been in a smoking environment. Again, I denied it because although I don't smoke, I got it used (maybe off PBS or another trade site) and I can't really tell if it has that smoky smell or not. (I'm really congested with cedar allergies right now, and wouldn't know the difference.) Well then it bounced back to the person requesting no yellow pages. And when I denied again, it's now bouncing back to the no smoking person. I think it will keep bouncing my book back and forth between these two because they are the top two on the wish list. Any ideas what to do next? I'm sure this book has several people wishing.....and someone would like it. It's in good shape overall, but not perfectly pristine white pages of a brand new book. Any advice appreciated. Catherine |

How many wishers does the system say this book has? It sounds like there are only 2 wishers, at least for this particular isbn. |

I don't know how many wishers, how do you see that? Although whether or not there is another wisher, I'd rather not keep bouncing back and forth between these two that I've already denied.... |

Found it - 414 wishers...so someone must want this book! Haha! |

This is a known glitch in the wish list system. When a book is declined for requestor conditions more than once, it always starts over at the beginning of the wish list. The only way out is to send feedback to R&R. They do some kind of magic to move things along. |

So, I just went to the help center and sent a message with the subject of "Problem" to the "Contact the PBS Team." Is that where I contact R&R or somewhere else? |

You say 'someone must want this book'... I do! I added it on today as a matter of fact. :) |

Are you sure that it went back to the first, or just another wisher with similar requests? With 414 wishers, just keep declining RCs until you get one that you can meet. The system can end up in a loop like that with only 2 wishers, but with that many more, it shouldn't. Hopefully Robert can tell you what is going on. |

Yes Cathzozo, that is the exact right place to contact them about this. |

The same thing happened to me. When you have to deny a book due to requestor conditions twice it just creates an endless loop. It was fixed shortly after I sent in feedback. I thought I was just going nuts when in happened. ;)
