I usually read Templeton's book in one sitting and this one was no exception. I am a fan of The Bargain by Templeton, and had high hopes for this one too. It was okay. It kept me reading, but it could have been better. I liked the plot line of the secondary characters, Demetri and Remont a bit more than the main characters, Gabrielle & Darius.
I am a fan of both historical romance and paranormal romance. I felt like the book could have just as easily been a regular historical romance - it felt to me that the paranormal aspect of it was just kind of thrown in with no real depth to it.

I would not rate it excellent but I did like it and read it every night for four days straight. I liked that Darius and Gabby are not boring characters and I really enjoyed the relationship between Demetri and Remont. I would love to know the story about Remont especially. Good Read..
I actually was not that interested in Gabrielle & Darius as much I was interested in Demetri and Remont story line. I really wish there was squeal book with Demetri and Remont main characters.
An amazing love story. Breath-taking and tear-jerking. For a good read, definately go to Julia Temleton. One of the Best Authors Ever!!!!!
