If you've seen the television show "Resurrection," you'll want to read this book, as this is what the television program is based on. "The Returned" is the debut novel of author Jason Mott and is a compelling story about what would happen if the dead returned to life. The story focuses on 8 year old Jacob Hargrave who drowned some 50 years before, and returns to life and to live with his stunned parents. Around the world, hundreds, then thousands of people are returning to life, causing all kinds of havoc for the living. The one thing that was unexplained in the book was how characters distinguish the living from the returned. This is a quick to read, hard to put down, original book that I would recommend for anyone!(less)
