I really enjoyed this book about a man who was murdered after he had turned his life around. He went back to the bar when he's buddies used to hang out to say goodbye and as he was leaving someone struck him on the head. As he lay on the ground bleeding he say a man carrying a tire iron running away. He was so angry that he started to haunt that man and cause him a lot of discomfort and pain. Melinda saw him tormenting that man and tried to help. She started trying to learn more about the dead man to try to get him to calm down so he could find peace and cross over. She realized she'd have to find out exactly happened and if the man he was tormenting was really the one who killed him or not. When the ghost realized she was asking his wife questions and upsetting her, he started to go after her too. She was surprised to find help from another ghost who wasn't strong enough to communicate yet but was trying to warn her whenever she was in danger, whether from the dead or the living.
