This is a book that has changed my life. KP grew up in India and never wore a pair of shoes until he was 16 or 17 years old, so he tells it like it is. We in America are so blessed, and we need to share the blessing of God's Word with those who have never heard. This book tells about what happens when we simplify our lives to get the Gospel to the unreached of the world. It is very inspiring, very convicting, and it will tell you how you can change the world for eternity. If you read this book prayerfully, it will change your life.

This book is vital to anyone interested in missions. Here is what it says on the back:

"In this exciting and fast-moving narrative, K.P.Yohannan shares how God brought him from his remote jungle village to become the founder of Gospel for Asia, which now supports more than 10,000 native missionaries in 11 Asian countries, operates 31 missionary training centers, and heads up a church planting movement that pioneers five new local churches every day. All this takes place in the heart of the 10/40 window.
From the unique Third World perspective and from his experience as a mission leader, K.P. challenges Western Christians to examine and change their lifestyles along with their traditional perspective on missions, in view of the millions who have never heard the Gospel.
This book could radically change your thinking and your whole life as a follower of Christ.

This book will open your eyes to missions. We have a few missionaries out there in the PBS community that may not agree bu KP Yohannan makes a great case for us to support foreign missionaries within their own countries. He uses humor and real experiences to make this a pretty light read. One of the funniest things he mentions is that, if you have a foreign missionary visit, don't take them to the Sears tower or the Golden Gate Bridge. They have wonderful sites in their own country. Instead take them to the supermarket. Aisles of food at low prices is impressive to them! :-)

I requested a copy of this book, based on a review I had read on it. It was on my bookshelf for close to a year before I finally got it down to read it. I have a tendency to read part way through books about missions, for whatever reason. But once I started this one, I read until finished. Like his book "Road to Reality", he writes in a fashion that easy to follow, but will hit you in the heart because of the stark truth he speaks of. I am getting more copies to give to my pastor and friends. What he says in this book (and his others) is so very true - a truth we seldom hear any more. And he says it straight, but with so much love. His life reflects what he teaches. A highly recommended book!
