I would give this zero stars if that were an option. I have never stopped reading a book without finishing it, but I could not stomach to continue reading this garbage. Far from delivering an "ideal introduction to economics...taking the reader through the great economic arguments of our day" as the back cover description promises, this book offers a series of glib statements instead. Each question, which could be answered with a series of in depth explanations and references by a better author, is instead answered as if it was asked at a cocktail party. The answers are brief- sometimes only one paragraph. The arguments made in the answers are flimsy and unsupported. I read approximately 75 pages, and the entire time I felt as if an Ivy League elitest was simply answering a question I had deep interest in with the most pompous, off-the-cuff response they can come up with to make themselves sound and feel important and smarter than the person asking the question. Thank goodness I received this book for free, as I would be enraged if I lined this authors pockets with any more money.
