This story begins after winning the lottery. Mother died the year earlier. She had always played the lottery, on a whim the husband plays her favorite numbers. Story is told through the eyes of his 11 yr old son. The father is a history professor, a loner and has difficulties in social situations. Relatives who have not been seen for years are now close family. Dad is now of interest to single moms. Heavy topics about family and wealth told in a light vein.
