Hi guys!

DH and I are plotting to move across the country in the next 6-9 months.  I have a TON of WL'd books that I first want to read, and then post.  I also have a bunch of books that probably aren't WL'd but will still post or drop off at the nearest library.  At the same time, I don't want to receive any new books, because we are trying to minimize what we are hauling cross country.  I have a bunch of books on my own wishlist that are popping up frequently, and I don't want to just turn the books down, because doesn't that remove my name from the WL for that book?

So I was thinking of putting my account on hold for an extended period of time, just until I get caught up on my reading and post a big bunch of books, but I don't know how to post a bunch of books (some of which are WL), but not be offered any WL books at the same time.

I hope I'm making sense.  Any ideas? I need help.

I had to move cross country this summer. I also had a ton of books and didn't want any WL offers coming in with a house to sell and a move to plan.  Unfortunately you cannot at this time put just your WL on hold.  I took all the books that I had read and knew were common to PBS to Half-price books and got credit for them. Some I turned into a local thrift store.  I would read a few WL books at a time, post them, then take my shelf off hold long enough for them to go on WL hold.  A couple times I was offered a WL book while off hold. I just turned it down and got back at the end of the line unless it was one I knew would take a long time to be offered to me again.  You could also run a 3 for 1 deal on your more common books just to unload them before putting your shelf on hold.
