This was a really short read about a couple forced to work together in a dangerous situation flying food and water in to earthquake victims. It was good enough for what it is, and I will look for the sequel, but some of the writing is really didactic (she has Native American ancestry so she loves the environment; he is Irish, so he won't get along with her because she's part Scottish; he's a Marine so he can't talk about his feelings). There's a good level of action and you get the happy ending, but it isn't one for my keeper shelf.

Sharing flight duty with beautiful Lt. Rhona MaGregor was dangerous. But with lives at stake in the earthquake shattered LA Basin, Nolan didn't have time to argue. He needed a copolot, and he'd just have to draw on his military discipline to keep his desires in check. But from their first death defying flight, Nolan realized he and Rhona shared something even more powerful than passion. For suddenly his hard heart thundered with something that felt perilously like love.
