This book was very disappointing. Fortunately, it is a quick read. Unfortunately, the first 100 pages or so were spent with the main characters, the young reporters, being introduced again and again to people who kept saying "I know who you are, I read your stories". Perhaps if you have read the other books in this series, that may mean something, but I am not really a fan of all sports, so I haven't read the others. The other disappointment for me was that a "mystery" should contain a mystery. This did not. Alot of the focus was on security at the game because the president would be attending and it kept hinting that there was an underlying threat, but that just fizzled out and nothing was there. Then a ridiculous scheme of cheating that would never actually occur to that level in college sports wound up being the story these young reporters were the only ones to notice. I know these are written for young adults, but I can't see young readers not being bored and even confused by the first hundred pages and I can't see anyone finding this to be of worthwhile interest. There are appearances by famous sports and political figures, but there should be more actual story and less introductions.
