Not a big fan of 'romance' writers but this sounded like an ok read, it is predictable as all romances can be, after about 100 pages and you get the gist of the story then it is easy to skip and skim until you get to the conclusion of the mystery, so just an ok 3 stars from me.
This book is set in modern times. Fans of Jayne Ann Krentz will be happy to know that her characters have matured from the earlier books set in modern times. The men in the earlier books were overbearing and the women wanted to be self sufficient and came off as reckless, immature, and set on having they own way. It was refreshing that the main characters in this book knew what they wanted and treated each other with respect. The mystery they worked together to solve was somewhat predictable but well written and moved along at a good pace. An enjoyable read.
