A River in the Sky (Amelia Peabody, Bk 19)

Spencer wants Egyptologists Amelia and Emerson to stop Morley from undertaking a project sure to offend the three religious groups that consider the temple site holy. Meanwhile, son Ramses embarks on a treacherous journey to convey to his parents important information learned from two travelers he meets while on a dig in Samaria.« less
Every book in Elizabeth Peters' Amelia Peabody-Emerson series is wonderful. I kept hoping Peters would write more books about the period when Peabody-Emerson's son Ramses (brother of demons) was younger- they were so much fun to read and her frustration over what to warn Ramses NOT to do was so funny. This one has excavations, pre-WWI espionage, murder, to keep things going. If you never read Peters' series, try to find Crocodile on the Sandbank (lst in series) and you should get hooked.
