Sandra Burr gives a stellar performance of 4-year-old Olivias screams as she witnesses the bloody murder of her mother in the living room of their Hollywood mansion. Olivia flees the room in terror, unable to erase the indelible image of her fathers hands dripping blood. Burr handles a multiplicity of diverse characters with narrative skill--from the raspy voice of Detective Frank Brady to the soothing tones of Olivias grandparents. She portrays Noah, once Olivias trusted childhood friend, now a writer in search of a story, as an attractive but hated reminder of the past. Burrs timing enhances the storys romance and suspense, bringing this romantic thriller to a conclusion that will please Roberts' fans and garner new ones. -- AudioFile
