This book was a different read filled with monsters, corruption, and stolen innocence. The story is told from the point of view of a 13 year old girl, named Lucky and how her wish to be loved is taken and twisted by Roger Fishbite. The story was well written but on the short side. I wanted to know more, how did things go for Lucky 5 years from the book ending? 10 years? Definitely a book that leaves you thinking...

Lucky is as sassy as "Fishy" is disgusting, and her final revenge is a discordant symphony of mayhem and murder, her story reflecting "the real pain of moral children forced to live under morally indifferent grown-ups."
