Hey guys!  A while ago I read a blog that mentioned the Romantic Times Booklover Convention in passing.  It is supposed to be a big extravaganza but it is pricey. I've been debating whether to go since it is coming up soon.  It sounds like lots of fun.  I am really interested in going but wanted to ask if anyone here has gone and if they could give me some advice etc.  Thanks a lot in advance!

I have never been to this one, but I plan to go to the book signing on Saturday.  I did go to the Lori Foster Reader Writer get together last year.  (It is much cheaper $35 plus hotel) and a blast.  I think there are about 85 authors scheduled to be there this year.  This is in Cincinnati and it was a blast.  You really were able to spend time with the different authors and other romance readers. I had a wonderful time.

People from my erotica group are going, wish I could. I went to the new jersey romance writers book signing last year, it was a ton of fun...and free (Cept for cost of books)

I went to the Romantic Times Booklover Convention in Manhattan and it was free if you just went to the big book sale/signing that they usually hold on Saturday afternoon.  It was a lot of fun.  This was about 3 years ago and they had celebrity photo shoots with the current bachelor from the reality t.v. series "The Bachelor"  Plus they had the Egyptian guy  from Ellora's cave walking around.......that was hysterical!

I have to ask Ashley-what erotica group?  Where do you keep track of convention information and such?

This is the web site.  They are a lot of fun.  Even if you can only make the book sale on Sat. its worth the 5.00. The writers sign the books that you bring in also.  They have great gift baskets to win.

I'll be going since it's only 30 minutes from where I live!  It's in Pittsburgh this year.  I'll only be going for the Saturday book signing though but I'm really looking forward to it.

You will have sooo much fun!!!  Get there early cause a lot of times popular writers books sell out before the fair is over.  It depends on how many books are sent out.  Be sure to bring a good bag for all the neat stuff that will be giving away.  I have my plane tickets and is ready to go!!  See you there :)
