Worth reading? The local Borders has an endcap display of his books, and sometimes there aren't any romances I want so I could use the coupons on a new-to-me author, so I'm thinking of him. Should I?

The Dresden File books are one of my favorite all time series. I recently finished #8 and picked up 2 of the graphic novels for the series.  The Harry Dresden books are a good combo of black comedy, fantasy, paranormal, action and even a little romance.

I haven't read his more straight fantasy series Codex Alexera.

The Harry Dresden books are great... My husband devoured the entire series in a week- I'm on book 3 and I love them!  Even my daughter likes them!  If you like paranormal, give that series a try!  The books are very easy to read, & the author's "voice" makes you feel like you're right there with Harry the whole time.  Harry has a sarcastic wit that makes you laugh out loud, and the stories suck you right in.

I haven't read Jim Butcher's Codex Alexera books either.

Thanks, Mary & Debbie. I'm getting slowly back into fantasy/paranormal, I love black comedy and a unique author voice.

I'm going to Borders.........cheeky

I love The Dresden Files and the Codex Alera series - although they are very different.
