Well I'm not a PBS newbie much anymore, but a newbie here in Classic Lit. :) I joined my first ever challenge over in Historical Fiction and in going through my books to read list, I realized I had some classic lit books I'd like to also fit into 2011. What better way to do so than join another challenge! :) I thought I'd visit y'all over here and get some good ideas on other classic lit I've been missing out on and join in on your challenge, even if only the lite. I (mostly) play nice with others but I sometimes ask a lot of questions. :) So, if you'll have me - is it 6/13 books for the lite? and 12/13 for the full? I tried to read through the different challenge threads and got mixed up along the way somewhere. I figured it'd be easier to just ask than get myself all confused. I did find the official list thread, so I'm good with that. I was just wondering about the "rules" on how many categories count for completion. |

Hi Kelly, Welcome to the challenge! The way I read things you have the numbers right, 6 for a light challenge and 12 for a full challenge. Or you could be like me and say you are going to do the light version and ooch your way over towards the full one! It's fun and a good motivator to read those books you've always meant to read. |

Thanks, Michele! :) Well, I'll probably end up doing what you do since I have 8/12 picked out and can't figure out which two to eliminate. So I'll likely add more to reach the full challenge as I go along. ;) These will be my first challenges, so I don't really know what I'm getting myself into, lol. I'm hoping it helps to reduce my TBR and gets me motivated to finally read some books I've been eyeing for a while (and new ones, of course lol). |
