The book is a great read for those of us who devoure books. I would also suggest this book to any young elementary 3,4,5, and 6 grade girl. The book is something that can be read in a day.

Very compelling and can't put down. Needs to have a few more books that follow the family. You want to find out what happens to the family.

This book is so charming! Second to Janette Oke's; "Gown of Spanish Lace," this is my favorite prairie book.

Janette Oke is best known for her Love Comes Softly Series (which is good), but this book is my favorite of hers.

I remember reading Janette Oke's books years ago and I loved them. This is book 3 in a series and I read it out of context. No matter, it still holds its own. If you get a chance to pick up a book by Oke, you will enjoy it.
