If you have not yet read this series - you are in for a treat! I reread all 13(?) books of the series every few years. And then I watch the two Masterpiece Theater series. It's filled with characters you love and care about, and you begin to live in their world. There is so much about Cornwall and about history, interwoven into all the books. There is smuggling and Mad King George, and the Napoleanic Wars, and the invention of the steam engine...and on and on. Amongst my very favorite books.
