Am I the only one that thinks this book 'bit the big one?' I got half way thru (and I forced myself) and couldn't go on. And by then the only thing that happened was a girl was missing. I usually really like her books.

It was ok. -- although I hate the name Mortimer.  I kept cringing every time I read it. 

So maybe I shouldn't give up on her books after only reading this one then?  After hearing about her vampire books, I picked this one up on a whim and was underwhelmed.  It wasn't bad, just not very memorable.  I was sort of relieved actually, since the last thing I need is another series.  Oh well I guess I'll have to give her another chance :)

You're right Rachel, the name Mortimer is not a flattering name. Karen, she is not my favorite author, but I really grew to love her characters, the Argenaus. Yeah, I know I spelled that wrong. In the Rouge Hunter one of the guys is related to them, a cousin or something. Authors should realize most of us read series because we like the characters and then the story line. If I were you, I would try to start from the beginning. It is a good series.

Yep, I really like this series too but this one really fell short :-(

I like the rest of this series but I have to say this one was lame. 

Agreed ladies...The Rogue is not one of her better ones.But read the others....Great series...So is Lyndsay Sands series...nice reads
