Not all dog stories have happy endings; even the littlest dog lover learns early that some dogs are hungry and sick and don't have homes. They need help.
Roxy is just that kind of dog. She is one of a litter of neglected puppies left to wander unattended in traffic; their poor mother isn't any better off.
Luckily, these dogs found a friend. She took them home, fed and nursed them back to health, and then set out to find homes where they would be loved and cherished members their new families.
Young readers can follow Roxy's search for a "forever home" in this picture book, which tells the little dog's story in simple, heartwarming text, accompanied by wonderful illustrations.
And yes, there is a happy, happy ending!
