If you love mystery and herbs, this is the book for you.. China goes to a monastery for a well-deserved retreat. However, she finds unexpected conflict at the convent and becomes involved more and more in the battle over the future of the convent. She sees "accidents" for what they are--murders, and begins to investigate and endangers her own life by doing so.

Part of a fun series of books about a former lawyer turned herbalist and private investigator. Her small town in texas is a compilation of many Texas towns and it holds events found all over the state. Fun read with enought twists to keep you intrigued.

Another great China Bayles mystery. China has a difficult time coming up with "who done it", thus it is a fun read. Highly recommended!

China Bayles Mystery #5. Another good one by Wittig Albert. Her writing is consistent without being repetitive, her characters have real depth and are varied enough to keep things interesting. This one had a decent plot, interesting twists and turns and a lot of emotional depth.

This picked up the pace and became way better than I thought it would be. Don't let the slowish start fool you! Wittig Alber delivers. I'm ready for the next one.
