Recently I have experienced numerous problems with my trades.  Are others noticing a remarkable drop in members following the "golden rule" or am I just having an unusual run of bad luck?  I've been a member for several years and never experienced any problems with trades/requests until recently

I've had the problem at the dvd site over the last month. But not here so far.

I think that, from what I've read, bad books seem to come in clumps.  Just be sure to marke them RWAP.

They do seem to come in clumps but as Mimi mentioned, the best way to deal with it is to mark them RWAP. Members who are knowingly sending out unpostable books are less likely to do so if they are being called on it, and if they are RWAPed enough, then TPTB will scrutinize their account.

Personally, I have not had a problem book in about 9 months...touching wood as I say that!

Not now, but last year had a bout of bad books for several months that didn't meet my RC.

Yep, the "clump" syndrome is happening here I think.

I haven't had any problems in ages. They do tend to clump.

For me, they seem to come in three's.  Late last year I received three unpostables in a row.  All three had chunks ripped out of the covers.  Now it's with requests.  1st canceled because she didn't have the money to mail a paperback. Of course, it was the only copy in the system. 2nd one timed out. Again, it was the only copy in the system. 3rd one stated she couldn't find the book. Only copy in the system.  Yep, it comes in clumps.

To balance the scale - i just received a wishlist book - it may have been gently read once, it's almost new. Hopefully this will 'come in threes" :-)
