Stuart Woods is one of my favorite authors. He brings back one of his most popular characters, Will Lee, in a stunning thriller of politics, power, passion and revenge.

Will Lee has finally established himself at the heart of American government as the respected Senator from his home state of Georgia. He road to the White House, however, will be more treacherous and deadly than Will and his wife, Kate, can imagine. Will learns he has more than one opponent with whom he must contend. Thrust into the national spotlight as never before, he becomes the target of clandestine forces from the past who will use all their money and influence to stop him - dead - in his tracks! This really makes you wonder how far will "they" really go to obtain what "they" want!

Georgia Senator Will Lee is given a terrific opportunity to make a run for the presidency when he is told by the current Vice President that they would not be campaigning for it. The Run gives a glossed over account of what a presidential run is like from the beginning to Election Day. It's filled with the usual dirty politics and mud slinging as well as a person from Will's past that has a grudge to settle with him.
The book was just an o.k. read for me in as much as I really didn't care for the main character at all and found myself more interested in the assassins story line and actually started rooting for him towards the end.
