Wow, after a month away with my bookshelf on vacation hold, I have been offered 2-4 WL books each week this month AND had 2-6 books requested! (2 requestors each ordered 3 books--I never get people "ordering more" ! )

I've gotten swamped with WL offers this week, too.   It's like Christmas!  Woot!

It seems like this happens at the end of every summer. I think the kids get back in school and moms actually have a moment to themselves to read and that makes the books orders flood in.  :)

Now you mention it - I got 2 wish list offers this week - before that I hadn't had one for a month or two.

people start getting back from vacations and post their books.

If I recall, Sept is usually pretty good, too.

I've been offered at least 10 WL books in the last month, after finally having enough credits to take my WL off hold.  So yeah...I think now that summer is finally coming to an end, PBS is going to be flooded.

I had 3 WL books offered to me this week - one was a Lucky Book as the member had 2 other books on my WL (I was way down the line) and they were offered to me. Bonanza!

Wow, I'm glad to hear there is reason to the madness that has become my frequent trips to the PO.  It's frustrating to leave for the PO and get back home to mark books "mailed" and have another request listed !!!   LOL

That's great - except that I was hoping to stay on vacation hold this season. The first of the school year is always such a busy time for me; I homeschool my own kids and a couple of others, and this year I have four high-schoolers. Plus, this year we're remodeling, so for the past few weeks we've been living an hour away from home and are moving back today. Life will continue even busier than usual.

I have noticed that I've been getting a number of WL offers, but it hadn't occurred to me that maybe I'm missing out on requests. Hmmm. I really do want to get rid of books, and it's true that my number of credits is at an all-time low....

July and the beginning August were busy for me. I received 8 WL books and mailed out 13 books. Six of the 13 were mailed on the same day as all of the requests trickled in that week. The last two weeks have actually been slow for my bookshelf and WL.

I think the influx of WL books has to do with Borders closing, and the cost of new books plummeting with it.

I wish.  But I did POST 30+ WL books last month.  We are homeschoolers and finished the prior year's curriculum and I listed it all.  Now I'm broke from postage!  But I've got  plenty of credits should I also hit the WL bonanza .... crossing my fingers.
