This is where we post our wishes - maybe things we collect, something we can no longer find in our area, things we have always wanted etc, etc. No wish is too big, you never know what will turn up.

We must abide by PBS rules :
You may not wish for money, or monetary donations for any charities ( you may ask for things you collect for charities, like stamps, can tabs etc., but not for money. This includes 'gofundme' sites)
No buying or selling or advertising.
No wishing for credits (Credits are bought, sold and loaned only in the Book Bazaar forum, or use the PBS Kiosk to purchase)

Do NOT ask for books, since books are swapped on the site and book deals are made in the Book Bazaar. You may not ask for free books of any kind sorry. (Unpostables are given away in the damaged book thread of the Bazaar and sometimes in the RAOK thread)

Our own RAOK rules: Please
Do not offer payment for the things you are sent, including postage. RAOKs are given freely, asking nothing in return except a thank you. Try to pay it forward, maybe grant a wish yourself.
Please limit your wishes to no more than 10. Lists could get very long. You can always edit as you go along.
Unlike many other forums, we ask that you do NOT reply within the threads. We do everything by PMs between members. This keeps the threads clutter free and easy to use. When you go to the wishes, you see wishes. In the RAOK, it's all things we are giving away - simple and easy. And please do not post your address in the thread - it's all done via PM.
Please, if you post wishes, be prepared to check in and answer your PMs. It's frustrating when people want to grant your wishes and don't hear from you!

You do need to say THANK YOU. See our monthly ****thank you thread****, or you may acknowledge what you have received via a personal PM to the members who granted your wishes. This is very important if you wish to continue to receive things from others.

Tips :
Check the RAOK forum before you post wishes -- things may already be there for the asking!

If you see a wish you can grant, just PM the poster for their address.

And please remember, if one of the moderators contacts you about a posting, we are only trying to keep the forum running smoothly and according to PBS rules. If you are asked to change, move, or delete your post, please do so. Most of you know the PBS team does get involved to edit posts and accounts do get suspended if rules are broken. We hate to see that happen to our fellow RAOKers!

If you have questions, feel free to contact me.

Hard to believe it is September already!! Hope everyone had a good August:)
I am wishing for the following.

1.Beauty samples. This includes anything from shampoo, conditioner, soaps, makeup, perfumes, etc. I travel a lot and these really come in handy. Many of you have sent me things and I use them all the time.

2.Scrap-booking items. My mother has picked up scrap-booking a few months ago and she can use stickers, paper, cutouts, etc.

3.Jewelry. My little sisters love jewelry so whatever you have to send will be great.

THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

Boxtops for Education and Campbell's labels for Education

I am in need of a stylus that will work on my iPhone. My fingers just don't like the little keys on the keyboard and my girls are making fun of my typos (which I apparently don't see before hitting 'send' ).

Suspending the usual wishlist to ask for positive thoughts and encouragement.  My life is suddenly all up-in-the-air, and I'll probably be moving back to the midwest to be near family soon, so any energy you can send my way for a smooth transition would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks!

New month, same old wish!

Floss - I can use ANY floss...any amount and any colors. Leftover from kits is fine, too.

Beads - Mill Hill glass seed beads, or any tiny beads, like Indian beads, not the jewelry kind.

I use the supplies to make ornaments and greeting cards for charity and always in need of more.

ADDED: Would live to get some ANIMAL STICKERS. Dogs and cats especially, but wild animals, too.

Thanks!

I wish for:

Purina Dog Chow coupons. Regular old Dog Chow, not any of the special blends. It's so hard to find coupons for the standard stuff, and we go through a 50lb bag every week with three dogs.

Color Dot Stickers--ALWAYS need these in Pink, Yellow, Purple, Blue, Green, and Orange. Can be Circles or Rectangle ones Big or Small.

___________________________

AND, a charitible request:

I used to be a foster care social worker, so I want ask all of you to clean out your bathroom cabinets & find all those unused shampoos, lotions, etc. that you've collected from hotels & donate them to your LOCAL Department of Social Services. Children coming into care come with only the clothes on their backs and a few things shoved into a black trash bag. They have no toiletry items and need the basics to get them through the first few days. I kept a big drawer in my office with the basics so the kids could pick out what they needed. Also, one of the women's groups in our area made ziplock bags with the basic overnight necessities, and that was so helpful. Thanks.

Here's a list of things they could really use: washcloths, toothbrushes/toothpaste/floss, shampoo/conditioner, bubble bath, razors/cream, deodorant, comb/hairbrushes, soap, powder, diapers, lotion, formula, bottles, baby wipes, nail polish/remover, perfume/cologne, hair products (mousse/gel/spray/defrizzer/etc), hair bows (ponytail holders, simple barrettes), band-aids, notepads/pens, duffle/tote bags (no hard suitcases as they are hard to stack & take up a lot of room), backpacks & basic school supplies.

If anyone has some wedding gift bags that they don't need, I need at least two. I keep finding out we have more weddings to go to--one this month, one in Oct and one in Nov...yikes!  :) thank you for reading.
